Hi, I'm Clair!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and congratulations on taking this first step on your journey!
About Me: With over twenty years experience helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges, I feel privileged to still be passionate about the work I do. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I completed my Master of Social Work degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. Over the years, I have worked in many areas of the social work field supporting children, teens, adults, and families experiencing a variety of mental health issues. Further to my social work experience, I also have a Bachelor of Education degree from York University which allowed me to practice as an elementary teacher for a few years. This experience has been an asset in understanding school systems and supports available to students in need. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family.
My Philosophy: I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. My therapy services are designed to help my clients unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
Therapies Practiced: I draw from various therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapies, Solution Focused Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP).
Treatment Specialties include : Trauma, stress management, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as well as offering support for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
